“Pottery Pop-Ups”
Drop-in Ceramics Classes (Ages 12+)
In this 10-part pop-up series, adults and teens 12 years and up, of any skill level, are invited to participate in one or more 3-hour, instructor lead classes covering the foundations of working with clay. Themed projects will vary from week to week and may be wheel or hand-building based. Students may enroll in one themed class at a time or may enroll in multiple individual classes. Completed projects are fired and glazed by staff with your choice of color and are usually ready for pick up in 2 weeks.
*Any students holding VAI flex passes please contact the VAI office to reserve your spot.
Friday 9/27 (5-8pm): Short Tumblers on the Pottery Wheel
Clink, clink, get your ice and bubbly drink ready for your own ceramic cups.
Friday 10/4 (5-8pm): Mugs on the Pottery Wheel
Mmmm, nothing like a morning brew or tea…. in your own custom mug!
Friday 10/18 (5-8pm): Large Candy Bowls, Hand-building with Slabs
Passing out candy will be even more fun when you use your own customized bowl.
Friday 10/25 (5-8pm): Spoon Rests, Pottery Wheel or Hand-building
Pesky drips, we don’t likes pesky drips on the stove precious!
Friday 11/1 (5-8pm): Sauce Dishes, Pottery Wheel or Hand-building based
Sauce up your charcuterie experience with hand-made sauce dishes made by you!!
Friday 11/8 (5-8pm): Curvy Cups on the Pottery Wheel
Get playful and wavey with us in this 3-hour instructor lead class covering the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel.
Friday 11/15 (5-8pm): Small Plates on the Pottery Wheel
Midnight snacks are always better on cute dishes!
Friday 11/22 (5-8pm): Ring Holders on the Pottery Wheel
Need a place for the one ring to rule them all? …or many rings? Come make a worthy ring holder!
Friday 11/29 (5-8pm): Paint Your Own Tiny Pots
Its an itsy bitsy, tiny winey, tiny pot thingamajigy! Tiny pots can be even more adorable when painted with your custom imagery.
Friday 12/6 (5-8pm): Paint Your Own Tiny Pots
