Free Humanities-based Activities

Happening between March 25-29 at VAI

Activities on Tuesday, Friday, & Saturday

What are these activities anyway?

Well, just imagine how many museums create games and experiences lead by a tour guide or docent to engage viewers on a deeper level with their content. Ours is essentially the same idea!

Some activities will be game-based, some will be discussion based some will be a kind of Q & A.

Each activity starts with a 1/2hr for for viewing artwork. Each activity will take between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the size of each group.

Activity leads will also take participants through the art spaces to view the art, talk about the underlying themes and answer questions.

If you have questions, feel free to call our office at 801-474-3796, or email info@visualartinstitute.org.

These activities are made possible through a grant from Utah Humanities. Utah Humanities strengthens Utah communities by cultivating connections, deepening understanding, and exploring our complex human experience.

Exhibit Information

Ceramic forms are seen in our everyday lives, special ceremonies, and are collective symbols of our past, present, and future. In today's world, the ceramic arts is rich in the exploration of cultural moods, new methods, and innovative ideas.

Contemporary ceramic artists exhibit a wide range of humanities-based topics presented in increasingly varied trends and styles through the medium of clay.
